They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, right here and right now, the picture is in front of you in part2. I believe it is an actual composite of the way that life in and on the street takes place. Especially, the using, the dealing and the eventual capture of the addict in a series of events that cause him to be apprehended and taken off to prison. The job loss, the stealing from his mother are all indicators of how the drug has taken over his life.
In part2, The turn around is, when arrested although his mother stood by him, it was the best thing that could have happened to him. It saved his life from a life of crime and degradation, from overdose and possibly death. The real story begins after he goes to rehab and comes out. He actually has to start fresh. Meaning getting away from all his old friends and hangout places and going to regular meetings, starting to do the step work and getting a sponsor to facilitate his growth in the recovery process.
